It loaded fine in TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works 7 and it showed it had a resize function, I just couldn't figger out to do it. I just loaded it a few days ago and have only used it once to re-encode a video.

ffmpeg should work. I didn't try it. Its command line and it takes some study for script creation. I use it a lot for videos. It does work on Gifs.

@Elderberry GIMP worked.  Now I'm trying to figure out how to use GIMP to replace a white background with "nothing."  Like the ZOT medal in my sig line.

I'm not familiar with GIMP. I've only been able to do that by converting the image to png and then trimming away what I didn't want. I used Adobe Photoshop. There may be another way? Perhaps you can use GIMP for that. I dunno.

I just got this new laptop, and I can immediately tell my RAM is woefully inadequate.   :shrug:

Makes playing with new toys a PITA.  4GB is apparently not enough with today's Bloatware.

I just updated my machine. A 500GB M.2 drive for my "C" drive and 32GB of memory now. Running much faster now. My son gave me his old video card, a ASUS Poseidon 980. Soon as I load in a larger power supply, I'll stuff in that video card too.

I am not a computer builder or repairman, but I chanced it and added RAM to a machine a few years ago, and it worked?

When I run Task Manager/detailed view I can see the RAM hitting >90% a lot, and disk write slammed at 100%.  There's a heap of memory swapping going on here.
