Two things - at least at first they were only trying to take Trump down because Hillary was supposed to win, and after that because he is unpredictable and couldn't be counted on to play the game properly.
Which exposes something that they have previously heretofore denied - an actual globalist network and infrastructure working in coordination with each other.
We conservatives know this, and we definitely the leftist takeover of our federal bureaucracy, but the concept of a global network such as this is mostly laughed off as conspiracy theory.
And it seems well established because they seem to hold the levers of power to a degree to frustrate Trump at almost every turn, such as with removing Brennan's security clearance, with rules, procedures, laws, regulations, coordination and assistance, and so on.
Contrast this with Obama who seemed to be able to move mountains within the Executive bureaucratic apparatus with a mere spoken word.
I think most people aren't even vaguely grasping the magnitude of what has went and is continuing to go on here.
