A former school bus driver in upstate New York will not serve any time behind bars for raping a 14-year-old girl.

Shane Piche, who transported kids to and from classes in Watertown, was sentenced to 10 years probation and must register as a Level I sex offender, according to 7 News.

Seems odd.  Was the sex unforced or what?  The article does not say much.

If a child cannot consent,  which I thought was the idea behind statutory rape laws, then this guy should have gotten at least a few years.
