British woman Faye Mooney killed by kidnappers in Nigeria
Gunmen also kill Nigerian man and abduct three others near northern city of Kaduna

The family of Faye Mooney, a 29-year-old British aid worker killed in Nigeria by kidnappers, have paid tribute to her bravery and belief in societal change that “took her to places others feared”.

A Nigerian man was also shot dead in the attack on a holiday resort in northwestern Nigeria, 37 miles (60km) south of Kaduna, in which three other people were abducted late on Friday evening, local police and the British high commission said.

Kidnappings are rampant in Nigeria, where both locals and foreigners are targeted, mainly for ransoms.

Given the location of where this happened, it is probably just criminals versus Jihadists who are mainly in the North... I caught articles discussing this story, I wasn't too sure of what it was about.

It sounds like it happened at a resort called "Kaduna Castle"...a resort.  while this looks nice, I don't know if it looks that exquisite unless it is really tucked away someplace generally inaccessible to the public. Maybe they have safaris or something there.  I could be wrong though, it isn't easy to see from one photo. It doesn't look to big.



Kaduna seems to be a very far south state of Nigeria, being a border state apparently.

There is a big difference between "bravery" and doing something that defies common sense.

It makes no sense for a good-intentioned white person to voluntarily go into an environment such as the one this woman entered. The dangers are too great to expose one's self to the risk, regardless of the intentions.

Let the Africans find the solutions to their problems.... themselves.

It really wouldn't be a stretch to call it suicide.

There is a reason thousands of Nigerians and other Africans emigrate every year to go to America or Europe. Nobody from America or Europe emigrates to Nigeria or other sh*thole African countries unless they're wanted by the law.
