I found this particularly amusing because I once was placed in Twitter jail for tweeting this to PETA, which was complaining about the torture of animals killed to be eaten by humans. I wrote:
@peta No torture necessary. Kill them quickly and then cook to order.
I was saying that there is no need to torture animals. Apparently, PETA didn't agree, because they complained to Twitter and I promptly received this notice:
Your account ... has been locked for violating the Twitter Rules.
Specifically for:
Violating our rules against abusive behavior.
You may not engage in the targeted harassment of someone, or incite other people to do so. We consider abusive behavior an attempt to harass, intimidate, or silence someone else’s voice.
To repeat, it's not abusive to call a young woman a n****r, but it is to imply that it's possible to kill animals humanely before eating them.
