And do we realize that Fed. Gov employees, are pad way, way more than average American workers?

They are.

@truth_seeker

Not always. Sometimes they are paid less. Depends on the job. I knew a section leader in the files section of the USAF retired records section that had been working there for 20 years in the 1970's,and he was only pulling in a little more than 5 bucks a hour on a job with no overtime available. He finally put in his retirement papers when he was forced to train his new minority boss after his old boss retired. You could get 5 bucks a hour driving a local truck for Manpower at the time.

My problem is I’m an old-school traditionalist. Lever-action rifles, wind-up watches, manual transmissions... that sort of thing. There is something very gratifying about a clean snick-snick of a precision gear shift. Same with the encoder. All those blasted mechanical relays...

It will be worth it, though.

There is secret, sometimes sinister messaging embedded in those old saws.

The second mouse to arrive at the trap gets the cheese.  The first forgot why the cheese is there in the first place.

That sounds Grimm.

Not to mention the damage done by The Rocky And Bullwinkle Show.

No problemo, corbe!

Christopher Plummer once called The Sound of Music, "The Sound of Mucous," so you're in pretty good company, methinks! 888high58888
