Rubio on Impeachment: The President Is Not Above the Law

Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) said if President Donald Trump did direct his lawyer Michael Cohen to commit federal campaign finance felonies, he was not “above the law.”

Rubio said, “It’s about our country, what the laws are and no one should be above the law. At the beginning of all of this, I said we deserve the truth. No one is beneath the law meaning everyone is entitled to the protections of it but no one is above it.”

Host Jake Tapper asked, “If it is proven that the president directed an aide to commit felonies to influence the election, what should the repercussions be?”

Rubio said, “If someone has violated the law the application of the law should be applied to them like it would any other citizen in this country. Obviously, if you’re in a position of great authority like the presidency, that would be the case.”

So ... did Cohen make a deal with Mueller or did Cohen actually lie for Trump?  Either way, I'm afraid this my be the downfall of Trump, but it would have to be proven that he had criminal intent and willfully and knowingly violated the laws. 

It just astounds me, that meanwhile Clinton continues to get away without so much as a hand slap or any acknowledgement that she did any wrong.

If things go so far, Trump will fight it though, who knows about 2020.

What does this have to do with Russia, it's a coup attempt.

I stated long ago; I believe what we are witnessing is an attempted coup within a coup attempt.  Its hard to tell which end is up anymore.

Little Marco IS a Republican In Name Only. Things are going to be very interesting here in FL.  Remember that after Marco lost his home state he stated he was getting out of politics and DeSantis was running for his seat...then all of a sudden Marco wanted his seat back and DeSantis went back to the House.  Now DeSantis will be our new governor...yes indeed...it will be interesting to see what side of the fence Marco will play on.

Uh ... most of us here in FL figured out what was going on before Rubio sounded the alarm though I suppose we need to give him some credit for that.  Why the heck Bondi wasn't on top of that issue is anyone's guess.  She's been worthless.
