Army soldier Cassandra Cabrera was afraid her dog wouldn't remember her after she got back from her 10-month deployment. As she found out, pets don't forget their owners.

Yup.

Edited to add: I just yelled at Goliath to quit licking his ass. There’s cleaning himself, and then there’s acting like he enjoys it.

Some people don't deserve dogs, for most it's wonderful symbiotic relationship that can bring the biggest toughest hard@ss in the world to tears when their dog passes.
Ya ever hear the one about how to tell who loves ya more, you're dog or your wife? Lock them both in the car trunk for an hour and see which one is glad to see you when you let them out :silly:............ well I thought it was funny, even when the wife gave me a dirty look.

The dog was only a five month old pup when she was deployed. Dogs are the best. I treasure mine.

And although I appreciate the dog's joy...they get nearly that excited when you come home from the grocery store!  happy77

Lock a dog and your wife/GF in the trunk of your car and see which one is happy to see you when you open it  a day later.
You don’t become cooler with age but you do care progressively less about being cool, which is the only true way to actually be cool.
