Broward County supervisor of elections Brenda Snipes is under tremendous fire and rightfully so.

This isn’t the first time she has bungled an election in Florida.
 

Also, she illegally destroyed ballots.

    Three statewide races in Florida are headed to a recount and all depend on results from a county whose supervisor of elections has a history of losing ballots and breaking laws by allowing illegal immigrants and felons to vote, as well as illegally destroying ballots.

    Broward County supervisor of elections Brenda Snipes’ office has admitted “they don’t know” how many ballots there are still to count.

She's a Democrat, silly.

And when you are a Democrat official in a county utterly dominated by Democrats*, no amount of criminality will ever serve to disqualify you, the news media will form a protective cordon around you, and anyone who attempts to hold you to account will be attacked, demonized and derided.

It's good to be a Democrat. Especially when you are a liar, cheat and crook.

Media outlets including The Miami Herald rushed to defend Snipes and imply that it was just a minor, honest mistake. “Whoops! Brenda Snipes’ office mixed bad provisional ballots with good ones,” that paper’s headline declared, as if meddling with major elections was just an innocent case of spilled milk.

Enemy of the people.  The press.
