HOUSTON – President Donald Trump on Monday vowed to send as many troops as necessary to the U.S.-Mexican border to block a growing caravan of Central American migrants, calling their trek “an assault on our country.”

In an exclusive interview with USA TODAY aboard Air Force One, the president said there were “people from the Middle East” in their ranks, reiterating a claim he made without evidence in a morning tweet. The president declined to say whether his assertion was based on intelligence agencies or some other source.

If a person or persons is determined to have a legitimate claim, they will undergo a U.N. process of being placed in a host country, which could ultimately be the U.S. or any other country that has an agreement with the UNHCR, the official said.


IF he's going to send troops in, he needs to do it now.  However, he's already agreed to allow the UN to place these people within our country ... so some are getting in one way or another.  Which will only encourage more to come.

Are you even reading this shit you are posting? The people need to prove they have refugee status. There are only 4 places in the world where refugee status is even considered and none of those countries are in South America....

So far it's just all talk and tweets.

Trump's fanbase was busy last night making their wishful thinking into fake news and reporting that troops were ordered mobilized to the border from Bragg and armored divisions in Texas on standby - but this AM it turns out that was all bullshit.  No emergency orders or declarations have been made beyond suggestions on Twitter, neither have there been any mobilization orders.

Meanwhile an invasion army is being trucked North - some 15,000 strong.

I'm starting to wonder if all of his "vows" are just empty rhetoric.   How long does it take to deploy enough troops needed to our southern border?   Will there even be time if he starts today?  Rush just commented that these caravan folks would have to be transported vs. just walking if they are to get to the border in time to effect the mid-terms.  If that happens, and the troops aren't there ... in time or at all...

We will know soon, because it takes time to mobilize assets and the supply chain if he is going to close and militarize the border.

Due to the various categories any particular article can fit in at any given time they're always duplicates that we try to delete. Usually a Mod will send a PM to the OP to let them know, it is a common courtesy but not always practiced due to time constraints (we have other duties). Everyone here appreciates your individual contribution to TBR be it in starting threads or just sharing your thoughts. We do strive to be your friends but have to take into account the big picture.
