Alaska's lieutenant governor resigns over 'inappropriate comments'
Alaskan Gov. Bill Walker did not specify what comments were made but said they were not suitable for his office.

JUNEAU, Alaska — Alaska Lt. Gov. Byron Mallott resigned Tuesday over what Gov. Bill Walker called "inappropriate comments."

The resignation complicates what was already a difficult re-election fight for Walker, a man with whom Mallott shared a brother-like bond.

This is highly unusual.  Democrats do not ever resign, nor is anything they say ever considered innapropriate.
