Kaepernick isn't fit to wash Al Bundy's old underwear.

And we know Peg isn't doing it, so that stuff has to be really nasty.

Al "4 Touchdowns" Bundy would wipe the field with that jive turkey.

Nike down 3% this morning....

Imagine...an actual board meeting, where they decided that their target demographic is the African-American or people upset with the words to the National Anthem.

My new motto...*Don't Buy it*

Mine too.  Only bought one pair of Nikes years ago.  They hurt my feet so I gave them away.  Didn't fit right.  I can find better fitting, less expensive shoes that dont glorify unpatriotic, has-been, never-was ballplayers.

Isn't it interesting how the SJWs no longer care about Nike's child slave laborers?

The US is $21 Trillion in debt (rising faster than ever before) and has $90 Trillion in unfunded liabilities, and people are all up in arms over a nobody football player and shoes.

Yep. I find these kind of things rather interesting.

Think about the last Nike spokesperson you can remember. Past 10 years, 20 years?  Probably Michael Jordon (obviously much deserved). He was their spokesperson 30 years ago.

Now, this nobody who sucked at football and hasn't played in 2 years, is the face of every other post on Facebook and twitter and headlining news outlets. We are feeding this monster and giving him all this attention. We are, by our actions, telling him that he is important.

Michael Jordon he is not.

Nike got caught up in that ad scandal over in England as well, per running "thug-looking models" for a commercial. Guess what? I guess, that's their target audience in part and they might do well with it and I don't mean a knock on that. Nike shoes are big deals,  a story was posted how some Chinese were marketing fake Nike shoes and it involved millions of dollars but it does seem they are appealing to a specific audience. I guess, people have been killed over nike mechandise, sneakers and such. Who needs them really? I got some of their clothes some time ago on discount or maybe as used but I might not ever wear those either with stuff like this.

They just went with the cheapest guy with at least some kind of name value, in America that is. I doubt anybody overseas has a clue who this guy is.

But by doing this, they have declared themselves to be anti-Cop, anti-White, and anti-America. Not sure that is going to work out to their benefit in the long run.

Nike seems to have forgotten Jordan's lesson as well about why not to get political when you're selling a product/image.

It's so funny you say that....today I was dreaming of Michael Jordan publicly announcing his complete break with Nike.  And speaking about Ranger Tillman as the REAL face of any campaign.

Can you imagine their stock then?

Or even what it could mean culturally?

If you look back at what Jordin did as well, he didn't make symbolic stances. If he saw something that needed fixing, he put his own money down, not his knee.  The list of charities that Michael Jordon gave to (and not paltry amounts) or started is longer than the ACA legislation.

Good, you got their target audience.

Bill Bowerman, co-founded Nike for track, he coached Prefontaine out in Oregon, so it is sad to see a company make these kinds of moves.  However, this is in America they are doing this. They are multi-national so other parts of the world may not have a clue as to what is going on in the USA.

Bowerman,  helped start Nike in his garage more or less I thought, being track coach for the Oregon Ducks, so it is disheartening for this to go this way, it is all about money.

I remember.   It's too bad that some of these athlete/activitsts that think they're walking in his footsteps are just stomping on his legacy.

Most of them need to be more like Charles Barkley and adopt the "I'm not a role model" mentality.

I don't boycott but I do and will spend my money elsewhere. Like I just ordered a new pair of kicks.   Adidas rocks!

My husband worked for Nike in the 1980s. He worked for Phil Knight, and has absolutely no respect for him. Phil Knight truly corrupted whatever Bowerman envisioned.

Kaepernick is a spoiled brat raised knee deep in "white privilege" and trying (and failing) to get rid of his false guilt.

He probably still has his Mommy do his laundry.

Which is just as asinine as making this guy their spokesperson. If you don't want your Nikes out of protest, donate them to a homeless vet you claim to care about so much.
