It's apparent many are embarrassed by anything requiring intellect. Sad.
The Ancient Greeks created/developed these:
* Botany,
* Biology,
* Geometry,
* Medicine,
* Physics.
Their Medieval successors; Catholic Priests who were also Scientists and
centuries later the likes of Copernicus, Galileo, Newton; among dozens;
developed the Laws of Mathematics that validated these sciences.
What have we moderns, who loudly assert we are the greatest, contributed?
Some 150 years ago, Darwin told us that Evolution was the key to
understanding the development/progress of Mankind.
Later, some 100 years yeas ago, Einstein asserted that Relativity explained
the Universe.
What do Evolution and Relativity have in common, long after their introduction?
Both remain unproven Theories which have been increasingly challenged/debunked
by their Scientific Peers.
So much for the we moderns are the greatest malarkey!!!
