Marco Rubio endorses Stoneman Douglas parent running for Broward School Board

U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., weighed in with an endorsement Thursday in a countywide election for Broward School Board - a contest already heavily infused with Democratic vs. Republican politics.

Rubio endorsed Ryan Petty, whose daughter Alaina was killed in the Feb. 14 massacre at Stoneman Douglas, where 17 people were killed and 17 injured.

Petty is the Republican candidate challenging incumbent Donna Korn, who is registered with no party affiliation and is supported by Democrats.

By endorsing a Republican who refuses to come clean about the central issue that drove him to the top of that heap, yes.  Just like his pal McCain.

It's hard to see how this particular Republican is distinguishable from a Democrat, since he is so vague on the issues. If he really is a conservative, great. Heaven knows we need them on school boards.
