In his return to the ring, Manny Pacquiao defeated Lucas Matthysse via seventh-round technical knockout to claim the WBA welterweight title Saturday night in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The fight was Pacquiao's first since his controversial unanimous decision loss to Australia's Sam Horn in July 2017.

Pacquiao dropped Matthysse three times en route to his first win by stoppage since 2009.

Damn..

I figured he was going to get killed. I was sitting in a hotel bar in Subic because there was a little typhoon going through and no place else had electricity when he first won the title. I got up to use the CR and when I got back he had won..I'm just as astounded then as I am now...he's a great fighter but time has taken its toll, I'd like to see him retire for good now.... :shrug:
