The signs pile up: Hillary is running

Michael Goodwin has a good one out, arguing that Hillary Clinton is running for president again. He bases that thinking observations about her frenzied emails and email-based fundraising. It's news, and as good an argument as any that the still-angry former first lady, Senator and ex-Secretary of State is not done fighting and wants to take one last shot at winning it next time.

Goodwin observes that there are good reasons for it that shouldn't be ignored, writing:

I seriously doubt the new up and coming class of Democrat-Socialists are going to roll over and give Hillary the nomination.

Besides this, her health will not support another run. This is not going to happen. However, she will continue to the end of her days to travel the world trying to convince everyone she meets that she is the real POTUS.

How could she possibly get the nomination? Even the most woefully lightweight opponent would easily tie her in knots trying to reconcile her on-record positions with the current dem party fantasy land. She obviously goes nowhere without 0bama's backing, and thanks to her 0bama's "legacy" is toast - at this point what could she possibly offer him to get his support? And I don't see the DNC greasing the skids for her like in 2016. Bill's stature has taken a hit with the dem base. Throw in the age and health factors, not to mention sheer ugliness.

Having said that, what she does have going for her are the ever-adoring media and a stable of potential opponents who really are abject lightweights who could self-destruct in a heartbeat, especially with a nudge here and there from the Clinton dirty tricks operation.

That would have the advantage of convenience - just fill the IV drip bags with vodka and use a fake oxygen mask to conceal the coughing jags - but the optics could be dicey. A simpler approach might be to just wheel her around duct-taped to a dolly...

You have to assume the Dems are finished with the hippies after they saw Trump win. Their base is frothing at the mouth. Whomever emerges as the biggest nutcase in the midterms will get the nod.
