I haven't tried them, but have heard from others that they are not near worth the price.

Same here.

@InHeavenThereIsNoBeer

Your post reminds me of those Omaha Steak commercials on tv.

Have you (or anyone else) tried them out?
(Something like $260.00 for $59.00)

which doesn't include shipping!
(Which is where it will probably kill you!)

One of my sales guys used to send us techs a box every year.  They were handy to have in the deep freeze since all the prep was done.  I have a pamphlet in the drawer and I just looked at their "specials", which are (probably before shipping) about as high as anything I've seen in the expensive grocery stores.  Hmm, chicken breast marked down from $45 to $25 - FOR TWO WHOLE POUNDS!  Why, at that rate my $36 box of chicken breasts from the farmer's market would only cost $500.

Wow!

A 5 month old thread of mine.

Well, to put the thread to further use: Have any of you Older folks run out of ideas on what you want to eat? :shrug:

Let's face it, after 'years' of eating just about everything over and over again, (yes, that would include steak), you, or maybe just I, get brain lock when planning our next meal!?

"Please Dear ... Not 'another' steak night?" :chairbang:

Yes.  The internet is your friend.  I look for new recipes all the time.  Sometimes they are a success, sometimes a failure, sometimes they need tweaking.  A great way to add new things to the rotation.  Also, get one or more of the food apps, like Yummly.  My favorite recipe website is Genius Kitchen.  They have a great search feature.  You never know where you will find inspiration.  My favorite coleslaw recipe came from a piece of old newspaper I picked up at a doctor's office.  Just need to feel a little adventurous.

My favorite coleslaw adds just a bit of horseradish.

Yeah, me too.  I like to eat low carb, and there are lots of low carb recipes out there.  I really enjoy trying new ones, and I keep those that turned out well and throw the not-so-good ones away.
