Mirror image? I think people are reading too much into this portrait.

....."Mr. Yeo said his goal was to produce a more modern royal portrait, reflecting Charles’s desire to be a more modern monarch, reducing the number of working royals and scaling back the pageantry of the coronation (all things being relative).

Still, the choice of shade seems particularly fraught given the … well, firestorm the king has endured since his ascension to the throne.

Consider, for example, the continued falling out with his second son, Prince Harry, and the publication of Harry’s memoir, with its allegations of royal racism; the related calls for an end to the monarchy; Charles’s cancer diagnosis; and the furor over the mystery about Catherine, Princess of Wales, whose own cancer diagnosis was revealed only after increasingly unhinged speculation about her disappearance from public life...............

What I don't see is an excerpted article.

Royal Family postpones engagements that 'divert attention' from general election campaign

Quote

The Royal Family is postponing engagements "which may appear to divert attention or distract from the election campaign", Buckingham Palace has announced.

It comes after Rishi Sunak called a general election for 4 July.

Royal Family Quietly Deleted Prince Harry's Rare Statement Confirming His Romance with Meghan Markle from Website

Quote

Published on May 28, 2024 10:07AM EDT

Prince Harry's groundbreaking statement from 2016 confirming for the first time that he was dating Meghan Markle is no longer available on the British royal family's website.

In November 2016, Harry's communications secretary released a rare statement condemning the "wave of abuse and harassment" experienced by his then-girlfriend after news of their romance became public. The statement remained on the royal family's official website in the years since, but the link is no longer active.

According to Newsweek, the internet archive site Wayback Machine was able to access the link on Dec. 3, 2023, but not a week later on Dec. 10, indicating it was removed during that span.

How long until it's 'Harry who'? It's interesting watching a person erase themselves.

The King and Queen are in France for the special event

Camilla has been pictured in tears as King Charles and the Queen were overcome with emotion during today's D-Day anniversary event.

A D-Day veteran recounted losing his best friend on the beaches of Normandy 80 years ago. Tears welled up in the Queen's eyes as former Royal Navy serviceman Eric Bateman recalled his experience on Utah beach. ...

The King gave his first public speech since being diagnosed with cancer. He told the crowd: "The stories of courage, resilience and solidarity we have heard today and throughout our lives cannot fail to move us, to inspire us and to remind us of what we owe to that great wartime generation."

Charles, who received a standing ovation as he walked onto the stage accompanied by Queen Camilla, was "adamant" to attend the commemorations as he continues his recovery from cancer.  ...

Good grief. The redhead is talking about writing yet another "memoir" to whine about how tough his life has been. (Why are people who have never accomplished anything in the lives - see also Hunter Biden - so compelled to write about themselves? I realize it's ego, but it seems a rather unrealistic view of one's own importance).

Rumours have circulated over whether a second Harry memoir could be in the offing

Prince Harry risks putting his family through “great stress” amid suggestions the duke is considering penning a new memoir, according to a royal writer.

Royal author Robert Hardman was recently quoted by the Independent suggesting that Harry’s book, Spare, withheld key instances. He believes this is suggestive of a second memoir, which royal commentator Lee Cohen has warned the duke against.  ...

She's been battling with this now for awhile. She is so young. Prayers up for her and family.

Kate Middleton breaks silence, apologizes for missing Trooping The Colour rehearsal amid ongoing cancer battle:

Kate Middleton has broken her silence ahead of the annual Trooping the Colour parade next weekend in honor of King Charles III's birthday.

On Saturday, the Irish Guards shared a letter from the Princess of Wales — who is currently undergoing cancer treatment — in which she expressed her regret for not being able to attend the rehearsal held on June 8.

"I wanted to write and let you know how proud I am of the entire Regiment ahead of the Colonel’s review and Trooping of the Colour. I appreciate everyone trooping this year has been practicing for months and dedicating many hours to ensuring their uniforms and drill are immaculate," Middleton’s letter, which was shared on on X, read.

"Being your colonel remains a great honor and I am very sorry that I'm unable to take the salute at this year's Colonel's Review," she continued. "Please pass my apologies to the whole Regiment, however I do hope that I am able to represent you all once again very soon. Please send my very best wishes and good luck to all involved."

The Princess of Wales signed the letter as "Colonel Catherine.".................

That is my feeling as well.  She didn't look well when she delivered her speech regarding her health and so far no news of any real progress.  Very sad.  She so young and so are the kiddies.    **nononono*
