Looks like we are going to see less of the Queen and more of Prince Chuckles.

@Right_in_Virginia Harry’s not smiling in many of the pics, even when everybody else is. Meghan has that perpetual 💩 eating grin.

I think they're an attractive couple and seem well suited.  They also seem to be trying very hard to be respectful and appropriate.

Meghan's wardrobe hat trick: Duchess changes into her THIRD outfit of the day after arriving in Ireland in a green Givenchy dress - as she and Harry attend a glittering garden party in the Irish capital

WOW so many photos at this link.....especially of the Fab Four as they are now dubbed

Sorry folks., but in my books, nothing fabulous about Markle.  She's loving the fame for sure, but to me, she just doesn't fit in.  I don't think she's 'polished' enough.

Who's footing the bill, Meghan? Duchess of Sussex spends huge £155,000 on 15 new outfits since the Royal Wedding

As any working woman knows, a busy schedule needs a changing outfit roster
In 15 outings since the wedding, Meghan has debuted 15 brand new looks
Gone are the M&S jumpers and the little-known, affordable brands she favoured
These days, Meghan's wardrobe contains only the best clothes from the world's top design houses: Dior, Givenchy, Prada and Chanel, to name a few

No Brit designers! Also, was Kate recycling outfits at this point? She’s very good with that, as well as mixing in affordable pieces.

I'm sure all of the meetings between the President and the Queen had posted stories....met at Windsor Castle:

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-britain-queen/donald-trump-meets-britains-queen-elizabeth-at-windsor-castle-idUSKBN1K32D1

I was reading "biasedbbc.org" this morning, someone over there called Trump "our President", so.. I think he has plenty of support despite what we might hear... the extreme leftists, "Labour", get out there to protest, close to rent-a-mob.

Those Royal Guards types, honestly, how do they see from under that big hat? Look for their eyes. Never mind,  they can see, it was a bit of an optical illusion, first picture, maybe not so much.

They're a lovely couple. But why IS Princess Eugenie having such a preposterously lavish wedding? JAN MOIR on the lowly royal given a wedding just like Harry and Meghan whose hunger for glitz and glamour is every bit as monstrous as Mother

Ah, because Princess Eugenie is the Queen's grandchild, too?  Sure, she's ninth in line to the throne, but Harry's sixth.  Big whoop.

Maybe the question should be why did Harry get such an extravagant wedding,   :smokin:

WW1 centenary: William and PM mark Battle of Amiens

The Duke of Cambridge and the prime minister have attended commemorations in northern France to mark the centenary of the Battle of Amiens - the beginning of the end of World War One.

Prince William and Theresa May both paid tribute at a service at Amiens Cathedral.

They also spoke to descendants of soldiers who fought in the battle.

Maybe we should not have gotten involved but for the Brits and Canadians and Australia,  that war means everything.

The main reason why the royals didn't use to live as long has to do with the following:

1. A lot of Usurpers of the Throne. Meaning a lot of Monarchs were killed before or killed during their reign.
2. Medicine was s**t. The average lifespan has increased.

I don't see Prince Chuckles reign lasting as long as his mother. I could be wrong though.

Princess Eugenie's Wedding: Everything You Need To Know
Vogue/UK, Aug 8, 2018

What is Princess Eugenie's wedding date?

Princess Eugenie of York will wed her long-time boyfriend Jack Brooksbank on Friday, October 12 2018. Although the pair have opted for an autumn wedding, the timings are expected to closely follow those at the wedding of her cousin Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, with the ceremony beginning at midday.
