I really like this show, but how incredibly badly was the  "visual" main role miscast here.  This woman is gorgeous..Vickie?  Not so much.

I love this series...but have to wait a year for new episodes...

Actually, there are paintings of Victoria as a teen where she's quite pretty.  Having all those children back in the day caused most women to loose their looks.

She’s a new bride.  Seems to me she’s entitled for at least a short while.

Maybe.....I know I am being catty...there is something about Meghan I don't like or trust....but that could just be me.

You realize that royal portrait artists improvised their craft back a bit back in the day (pre-photography)?

Not catty at all ... just perceptive.  I do not trust her at all.  I think she latched onto a vulnerable Harry with an agenda.  She's already embarrassed the Queen with a too-revealing dress at the Queen's birthday celebration.

She's gonna cause trouble ... just wait.

Did Meghan break protocol with the off the shoulder dress, or was she permitted to wear it as part of the monarchy times? Kate couldn’t wear this, of course, but maybe Meghan is the test dummy for breaking some of the royal rules.

Okay, so I’ll preface my post with my admission that I just don’t like Meghan. I can’t explain why, I just don’t trust her. I also happen to love Kate, so there’s that. In a world of Kartrashians, Will and Kate are lovely family role models. Plus, I genuinely believe that they are down to earth. So here goes: Meghan is now in Prada and frequently wears Givenchy. Although Kate has stepped out in foreign designers, it’s usually because she is in that country on official royal business. For example, Kate wore a bespoke Chanel dress and purse during a visit to France. Kate tends to lean toward British designers and also is seen in very affordable Zara and J. Crew. I really haven’t seen Meghan is British designers or lesser expensive clothes; however, that could be because the press is giving the newlyweds some space. Any thoughts?

If you want to see some shows that deal with Royal history (way before the current clan), check out the following:

1. The Tudors
2. The White Queen (dealing with the war of the Roses)
3. The Last Kingdom (During the reign of King Alfred).

She’s trying to make that neckline her “thing.” I like the neckline, it looks fantastic on her, and I even wear it myself. However, it’s the fact that she’s trying. If Kate or Diana ever tried to be a fashion influencer, it never showed. They are natural. Meghan is trying. If that makes any sense at all.

The royal chair is for Charles. It has the stone of scone under it.

Nothing like a tooth breaking 1000 year old pastry stuck under the furniture. :bullie smokin:

I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.
