Closing gender gap in physics 'will take generations'
By Helen Briggs BBC News

    20 April 2018

Closing the gender gap in physics will take hundreds of years, given the current rate of progress.

That's the finding of research analysing the names of authors listed on millions of scientific papers.

Physics, computer science, maths and chemistry had the fewest women, while nursing and midwifery had the most.

Without further interventions, the gender gap is likely to persist for generations, said scientists from the University of Melbourne.

So why not simply complete the Sovietization of academia, and allocate individuals to fields of study on the basis of gender quotas, without regard to what each individual actually wants to study.

I think we can speed it up if we dumb it down, install racial and gender quotas, infuse some intersectional doctrine into the science, and most of all move away from pesky facts and data to a more subjective, emotional approach that emphasizes personal perspectives and experiences with outcome based objectives.
The Republic is lost.
