Facebook has always been one big swindle

Once again, Mark Zuckerberg is sorry.

The founder of Facebook, who has apologized for privacy breaches throughout much of his company’s existence, is back at it, on a much larger stage than ever before.

The proximate cause is the Cambridge Analytica controversy. In violation of Facebook’s rules, the Trump-linked political consultancy schemed to get access to the data of 87 million users. This has made Facebook a scapegoat for Trump’s victory on par with the Russians and James Comey (at least before the FBI director got fired and became a Trump adversary).

Everyone getting all up in arms over Facebook are mostly ignoring the president just signed the Cloud Act as part of the budget bill, basically wiping out your fourth amendment privacy rights for any data on the internet. (Including banking, financial, and all other activity). The government can now access all your data from the internet without a warrant. It makes Facebook's privacy sharing issue seem like pocket chant in comparison.

Yeah, because warrants matter anymore.

They do to a point. Now they don't even need to ask or get any sort of permission. Any bureaucrat can get a burr up their butt over something you said online and decide to get into your banking records (as an example).

Just saw breaking news that Cruz caught Zuck in a bald faced lie.  Re: firing an employee for being conservative.

Too bad this snarky little f'er isn't under oath.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

What's Congress doing being involved in this in the first place?

My question too, when they were grilling baseball players about 'roids.

Seriously, social media has gotten so powerful, that it has become a very sophisticated tool to  do Jedi Mind Tricks  on the mindless.

Despite on the surface being appearing mostly puppy and kitty videos.
