IBM Research Senior Vice President Arvind Krishna on creating AI-powered robot microscopes that can clean the ocean.

IBM is predicting it will change the world in the next five years by using robots powered by artificial intelligence (AI) to clean the oceans.

The AI-powered microscopes will be able to monitor a collection of microscopic plankton floating in the sea.

Microscopes to clean the ocean sound to me, like a small tool for a huge job.

(I do believe we should stop dumping trash of all types, into our God's oceans)

Are these robots sentient? How is that AI? Algorithmic intelligence maybe, but not artifiical.
