Barack Obama just celebrated his first Christmas since leaving office — but a women’s resistance group gave him a reception fit for a president during his annual holiday visit to Hawaii.

When Windward ReSisters, a women’s movement based in Obama’s native Hawaii, heard he was returning to the islands with his family for the holidays, they decided to welcome the former president by singing Christmas carols outside the Paul Mitchell estate in lanikai, where the Obamas were staying.

Life away from the White House appears to be suiting the former first lady and her eldest daughter as they were all smiles while soaking up some winter sun on the beach in Florida this weekend. Michelle and Malia Obama were seen on Saturday walking off of Miami Beach together with Michelle showing off her toned torso in a bikini top and Malia in a sweatshirt and black bikini bottoms. Sasha and Barack did not appear to be on the trip with the mother-daughter pair. After hitting the beach, the ladies left their hotel with Malia in a stylish romper to have dinner at a trendy Miami steakhouse.
