I like the Grant analogy.
But I also believe it goes beyond being Lucky.
It usually pays to be underestimated by your enemies.
Most observers who are critical of Trump’s behavior, even those on our side that generally support his presidency, still don’t get that Donald Trump’s success in office is based on hard work, persistence and an instinct about human nature that was sharply honed over years in business and entertainment. In short he’s a smart cookie. I admire his intestinal fortitude. I wish I had more of it myself.
