1 lb spaghetti noodles, cooked
28 oz can of skinless, crushed tomatoes
1.5 lbs sharp cheddar, shredded
1 or 2- 8 oz cans tomato sauce (depends how moist you like it)
salt, pepper, garlic to taste
Mix ingredients in large bowl. Pour into a greased baking dish. Dot top with butter and sprinkle with extra cheese. Bake at 350* for 30 to 45 minutes.
This is the original family recipe. It's been tinkered with some through the years.
Variations
1. Add crumbled, crispy fried bacon.
2. Add seasoned, cooked burger.
3. I don't care for the larger chunks of tomato so I use Pomi finely diced tomato
This dish freezes very well. To reheat, thaw thoroughly and cook at 350 until warmed through.
