Senate GOP campaign chairman calls on Moore to be expelled if he wins

Sen. Cory Gardner (R-Colo.), who leads the Senate GOP campaign arm, is calling on the Senate to expel embattled Alabama GOP nominee Roy Moore if Moore wins December's special election.
Gardner's statement on Monday goes further than his condemnation in the immediate aftermath of a report in The Washington Post last Thursday, when a woman claimed Moore touched her inappropriately when she was 14 years old.
"I believe the individuals speaking out against Roy Moore spoke with courage and truth, proving he is unfit to serve in the United States Senate and he should not run for office," Gardner said.
"If he refuses to withdraw and wins, the Senate should vote to expel him, because he does not meet the ethical and moral requirements of the United States Senate."
