No surgery for smokers or the obese: Policy in UK stirs debate

(CNN)Two issues are the cause of a plethora of diseases and health conditions affecting people worldwide: smoking and obesity.
And one local health committee in the UK has announced a controversial policy "to support patients whose health is at risk from smoking or being very overweight."

So all you fat, smelly sods will not be able to get that ingrown nail taken care of. Lunacy. I's stop paying taxes, immediately.
Then all they need do is change the standards.

According to that rot, "For your height, a normal weight range would be from 136 to 184 pounds."
Rubbish!
The only time I have weighed less than 184 lbs in my adult life was after eight months of gulag diet and hypothermia in Grad School. At 136 lbs, I'd look like I was fresh from the camps.
My normal, non-obese weight runs about 225.
