MIT professor predicts Earth's sixth mass extinction could be triggered by 2100

A geophysics professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has predicted that the Earth could start to undergo a sixth mass extinction by the year 2100.

According to a press release issued by the school, Daniel Rothman came to this determination after he "identified ‘thresholds of catastrophe’ in the carbon cycle that, if exceeded, would lead to an unstable environment, and ultimately, mass extinction."

Facts:

The article calls it 6th mass extinction, not 1st total extinction.

So it has happened before, and is not outside the realm of possibilities.

Mankind is not powerful enough, to obstruct such an immense possibility.

Geology reflects immense and powerful historic events in the planet's history. (Like seashell fossils at over one mile high on the Wyoming-Montana border)

Because he's edumacated, he's a professor! Actually when you come right down to it the end of the world cultists have just as good a record as the edumacated professor types.
