I don't get the criticism of Santana.  What's he suppose to say, "oh, we can't win".

Nobody criticised him for what he said before the game. I'd written about Santana before the AL wild card
game and made a point of saying you had to admire his confidence. Even while writing concurrently about
the Yankees' game plan for attacking him.

The reality that bit Santana and the Twins is that he and they proved not good enough to beat the Yankees.
