So you don't care what happens to the country?

What do you think he/we can do at this point?  There's another at least 1 1/2 years of this nonsense.

@driftdiver
Sure I do. But any control on what's happening left the field when Cruz, Walker (and arguably Rubio) stepped out. When the race is between two liberals, there is no 'better'. There is only SUCK. The only sound decision is not to play the game.

If this gets much worse, you can thank me for helping to curtail any mandate this buffoon may have had... Thankfully, his piss-poor win leaves a fig leaf for Republicans. But it's a small fig leaf.

So you don't care what happens to the country?

Not when the population wants to commit national suicide.

They rejected what we were pleading them to consider.

So - the nation will get to eat the fruit of it's own way, a way alien and contrary to our foundations.

So be it.

It's what the people want.

And they shall have it.
Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

Most of us do not put Limbaugh on the same plane as scripture like you do.

When Rush is dead and gone, his biography will have a whole section of his conflagration of the conservative movement in the mid 2010's.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

Fair enough, but don't you find it ironic that this is the same turd who whipped the crowd into a frenzy asking how high the wall will be?

Ironic?  Not a word I would use pertaining to Trump.

We all know that Trump promised the Wall and I think he believed in it himself.  We all know that the crowd was wildly enthusiastic about the promise of a wall.

This shows how disgusted the people were with the open door policy of Obama and the danger and cost of illegal immigration.

So, yeah, not sure I would use the 'turd' word about your president but okay.

Nice double-talk there, eh?   I guess it just depends on the meaning of "is"....

when you ask the question "What is the difference between conferring amnesty, citizenship or allowing illegals to stay"?

I wrote in Constitution Party candidate (Castle), though it didn't get counted.

A total bullshit waste of a vote.

I, for one, will be extremely disappointed if Trump backs down on amnesty.

It goes against all his previous positions.

I don't understand why so many people are gleeful about it.

Is it worth that much to them to be able to say 'I told you so?'

It's not to me.

The problem is that the ONLY acceptable treatment of DACA immigrants is going to leave them a mere vote of a majority Democrat House and Senate away from giving them total voting rights.  'Citizenship' can take on more than one look.

Add the 24/7 negative news about dastardly Republicans and Trump...and the future appears bleak.

About the only chance he has of being reelected may depend on what level the economic gains come in at.

Gleeful?  I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not the least bit happy about this.  There is nothing funny about having been sold down the river.

Would have been nice if the Republicans -- Trump in particular -- would have proven us wrong about them.  But we've known all along what liars, cheats and thieves they are.  We just didn't want to admit that they are and always will be.  They will never change.  They are the ones who are gleeful because, once again, they have deceived us and they know there is damm little we can do about it.

Sure, we can primary them, but the damage will have already been done.  Besides, with whom are we going to be replacing them?  I said elsewhere there are precious few who are willing to do what we voters want.  Oh, they too will make promises and tell us they will work for us and do what we want.  But when we elect them, we find out they too are liars.   Or perhaps they have good intentions, but once they take office, the allure of power and money compels them to abandon whatever principles they had and the promises they made to their constituents.  The few who do keep their principles and their promises are run over by the corrupted, entrenched hierarchy that rules the party.

So the US, as we know it, will lurch over the edge into the abyss.  It will take an act of God to save us now.  We sure can't depend on either party now since they are the ones who are pushing us over the edge.

I have to disagree with that. People these days have a very short attention span and seem to be swayed more easily. What used to be fringe is becoming normal (think about all the chemtrail/flat-earth/anti-vaccine stuff all over facebook and twitter, coming from seemingly normal people). We are in a world where Kanye West and Justin Beiber are considered the best music, where people think 'reality TV shows' are actually real, and where the WWE is having record high ratings.

All you need is to just triangulate your message, wave the right flag of the day, scream the right slogan, and pay for a lot of social media exposure and people will forget transgressions from even a day before.

That's well established in the fact that all of Trump's prior history as a New York liberal prior to the last election was "old news".

David Horowitz tweets thusly:

"He hasn't made a deal. He's pulled the rug from under Dem attacks. This isn't a betrayal. It's a negotiating position that strengthens him."

I would agree.

A nation at close to, or on full employment and good wages for its own citizens would be more likely to forgive a DACA program, than a nation that is struggling to find meaningful employment for its own citizens and legal residents.
I don't think it makes a DACA program the correct thing to do, but a strong economy could absorb (and absolve?) such a thing than a weaker one could.

Still, as you've pointed out, we are are always one election away from amnesty and full on citizenship, if we aren't careful.
Amnesty/citizenship along with a economic downturn could have disastrous effects.

A total bullshit waste of a vote.

...but you felt so 'principled'!!     *****rollingeyes*****

We did thanks.

No regrets whatsoever.  I can look at myself in the mirror and stand before the Lord and state I voted in concert with the core principles and values that govern my thinking and belief system.

I did not vote to make a man my king or sovereign, nor did I cast a vote for someone I knew I could not trust based on his public fruits, behavior and statements, nor vote for a party that has proven itself corrupt and became anathema to what governs my belief system.

I did not vote for someone who handed me promises of vengeance and payback.

For the first time in decades, I actually cast a vote for a person and party I actually believed in and was in concert with my core beliefs, even if the majority of the population eschewed it and wanted more of the same bullshit being force fed to them.

I sleep good at night knowing I did the right thing, even when everyone else says it was pointless.

Today I watch the lemmings leap off the cliff and I wave as the horde plummets to what they think is deliverance.

His tweets today pretty much nailed the fact that he has significantly softened on the DACA issue.  I have a feeling we are only seeing the beginning of the left turn.

Trump's going to move so fast to the left, Hollywood is going to star him in a movie...it will keep the Fast and Furious franchise going: Fast and the Furious - DC Drift.

No.  I'd say, given that Trump has sold you and the rest of his fans down the river, yours was the wasted vote.
