Where Are The Promised Heatwaves?
September 4, 2017

By Paul Homewood

I’ll take a closer look at the summer just gone once the Met Office has all the data out.

But I have done some analysis on daily max temps for the Central England Temperature series.

First, an update of a graph I did a couple of months ago, which was just for June.

This one plots all daily maximum temperatures during the summer:

Forty eight degrees this morning, supposed to get up to seventy for a high today.

I just see all that global warming as something else the government promised us we aren't going to get.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

We in southern Iowa had one day above 95, and 10 above 90 all summer. August has been high 70's to low 80's all month. Looking at a low of 47 tonite.

The only 90°+ days we had here in New Hampshire were back in June (3 in a row) and we've had none since then.

The rest of the summer has been cool-to-mild, and somewhat rainy, and we've already had several mornings with temperatures in the 40s. The leaves are already starting to develop color here and there....
"If all men are created equal, that is final. If they are endowed with inalienable rights, that is final. If governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, that is final. No advance, no progress can be made beyond these propositions. If anyone wishes to deny their truth or their soundness, the only direction in which he can proceed historically is not forward, but backward toward the time when there was no equality, no rights of the individual, no rule of the people."    -Calvin Coolidge
