Romania Unearths Remains of Anti-Communist Fighters
A team of Romanian forensic experts and historians has found the unmarked grave of three former anti-communist fighters killed in 1949 by the secret police.

The remains of three members of Romania’s anti-communist resistance killed by the communist secret police in 1949 have been unearthed by historians and forensics in a forest in the western Carpathians, the Romanian Institute for the Investigation of Communist Crimes and Memory of Romanian Exile announced on Friday.
Stefan Popa, 29, Nicolae Moldovan, 25, and Cornel Pascu, 26, were found in an unmarked grave on Tuesday and handed over to the Alba County Forensic Lab for tests, according to the coordinator of the investigation, archaeologist Gheorghe Petrov.
