They certainly can't blame money. $30,000,000 was poured into Ossoff's campaign, and he actually got a lower percentage of the vote in the election than he did in the primary. On the surface, all that money didn't convert a soul.
It appears democrats are still in a phase resembling "...doing the same thing, over and over, expecting different results."
The "thing" appears to be dividing into tribes, espousing less and less popular positions, name calling, violence, political correctness, among a few.
I remind folks of this: In summer 1968 in Chicago, the young people demonstrated, reaching violence.
Reagan had stood up to student demonstrators at Bezerkley prior to that. (He had been elected Governor)
Anyway Nixon ran partly on "law and order" to oppose the violent demonstrators. He won.
He won again 4 years later,, by a huge margin. America had had enough of the left, their disorder, their anger.
There emerged some dangerously violent aspects of leftist disorder. Black Panthers, SLA (Symbianese Liberation Army), Weather People, etc.
Between 1968 and 1992 the Republicans won five of six Potus election, and "law and order" played a significant tole.
An intelligent democrat would survey those times, behaviors, and results and start warning his party members to "cool it," but I don't see that yet.
