I just want to add that regardless of the motivation of this decision...The President's heart or his brain...both give me hope that more good decisions will follow.

  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.
Yeah, I'd call him a Kennedy Democrat.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

If he really drops the Paris Agreement that will also be something of significance that will hopefully last a long time. I say really because I have my doubts he'll actually follow through but here's hope'n...
While I agree dropping the Paris Agreement is good, it was inconsequential because it couldn't be enforced...but it could be used as a propaganda weapon...so good on President Trump for leading, and he could turn out to be an improvement over last year's President on this issue.  I completely agree the Paris Agreement sucks.  I just would have been more impressed if Trump ignored it all together, and when asked about it said "According to a recent article, by a very prestigious scientific journal, a very respected science journal, you would recognize them if I told you the name...I'm not going to tell you the name, but there was actually TWO of them that said we have already exceeded the Paris Agreement cuts in carbon dioxide levels by over 243%.  One of them says 267% and the other one says 243%...

You're welcome."
