And yet now we find out that Sessions offered to resign because of the tensions between the WH and the DoJ.

Guess this turned out to be...yet again...NOT fake news.
The libs/dems of today are the Quislings of former years. The cowards who would vote a fraud into office in exchange for handouts from the devil.

Agreed.   The  problem isn't the NYT, it's disloyalty and sedition on the part of folks within the executive branch.    The NYT is lapping up the crap it is fed from the deep state because it furthers the agenda of both.
The Gray Lady has been in a gray area at best for decades. It was an idiot reporter from the NYT who went to Cuba and wrote a glowing article about how Castro was going to put a democratic government in Cuba that helped sway State Department opinion over the invasion by expatriate Cubans to re-take Cuba (known as the Bay of Pigs), that State Department opinion crucial in making the decision to call off the air support which could have eliminated the Cuban Air Force and Armor as the boats were hitting the beach. The result is that force got slaughtered fighting, waiting for the support which had been promised but never came.
While the NYT isn't THE problem, they have played their part.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
