I have my mother's ring that sounds exactly like your aunt's ring and I wear it constantly as well.

I lost the little engagement ring from my first husband- actually think it was stolen by a babysitter. I sold the diamond from my second husband and bought a new bed for me and my third husband who gave me a lovely princess diamond that is a tasteful (and affordable) 1.2 carats.  ^-^

This thread was actually started because a couple of us were sick and tired of Melania getting slammed by the MSM for her terrible fashion sense and Michelle, though she'd left office, was being glorified as a fashion icon. Agreed, perhaps we've gone overboard at times ... and perhaps we should shift our focus back to FLOTUS fashion rather than pictures of her face, videos over time,  etc. I fully agree.  I think we should get back to posting her recent fashions rather than focusing on 'everything Melania'.  Here though is a prime example as to why this thread was started int he first place...keep in mind this was considered one of her best looks!  Seriously ... and this is one of the better ones!

This thread was actually started because a couple of us were sick and tired of Melania getting slammed by the MSM for her terrible fashion sense and Michelle, though she'd left office, was being glorified as a fashion icon. Agreed, perhaps we've gone overboard at times ... and perhaps we should shift our focus back to FLOTUS fashion rather than pictures of her face, videos over time,  etc. I fully agree.  I think we should get back to posting her recent fashions rather than focusing on 'everything Melania'.  Here though is a prime example as to why this thread was started int he first place...keep in mind this was considered one of her best looks!  Seriously ... and this is one of the better ones!

The very first picture of her that I had posted, she looks angelic because of the background of the picture amd wearing a flowing white dress; not necessarily the dress itself. Agreed, the dress is fine, but what is with her and the wide sleeves?  Although I was giving some comparison to the puffy sleeves and angel wings. The wide sleeves do tend to distract rather than complement.  Her shoes shown in a different pic are really gorgeous and match the belt; however a much sleeker dress without the puffy sleeves would have been much more elegant looking.  Perhaps the puffy sleeves are in vogue right now?  The first time we saw her wear the puffy sleeves she was wearing a shocking bright pink dress and the sleeves were absolutely hideous.  Once she gets critiqued for a certain style, it seems she ignores the criticism and continues to wear that style anyways.

Ok ... so there's a difference of opinion...get over it! Melania is a former model and now our FLOTUS; she has some absolutely gorgeous outfits and some spectacular looking shoes and  the intent of this thread was to have a place to post pics of her outfits for various occasions and comment.  To show different angles or to capture a different scene or event with her wearing the same outfit is one thing, but to continually post multiple pictures of the same outfit, scenery, etc. after someone else has posted the same pic is not only repetitive but a tad childish, and  it becomes a bit excessive, especially when they're posted in more than one thread; in doing so, I can definitely see where someone would see that as Melania worshiping.  Just my opinion.  Peace.

Agree!  Plus, Melania has worn this style even before she was first lady.  I marvel at how she's able to keep it on. I've tried it, and the coat stays on if I don't move my arms.  But she doesn't seem to have that problem.

Sleeves are a fashion thing now.  Went shopping with my teenager granddaughter.  Lots of elaborate sleeves in the stores.

Michael was always striving to be 'politically correct' and didn't seem to display a whole lot of femininity, though at times she really tried; from her boxy shoulders to her bold leggedness, she looked more like a drag queen at times.  Melania is being true to herself and she's is becoming a role model to our youth.  As for the sleeves ... trending her in FL are the cold shoulder sleeves -- even sweaters with cold shoulders in the summer.  The cold shoulder sleeves would have looked much better with this dress.  Still not crazy about the fabric or style and to me it still looks like a shortened Japanese kimono.  Yes Melania exudes feminism, sophistication, grace, style and very much looks like a first lady.

There was an article I recall reading back when Laura Bush was Flotus, and a bunch of the best, smartest college senior girls had lunch with her to pick up some award at the White House. In the official picture most of the girls wore flip flops.

The article commented the girls mothers were appalled, their daughters felt there was nothing wrong with that.


I remember when I got an award in college from then governor Florio, that day I had gone to the beauty parlor to have my hair and nails and makeup done professionally, and bought a dress that sent me back a couple hundred at Bloomies.  Bought a pair of heels. I had to go into my savings and it was so much money at the time but it was a huge honor and it was a "formal" awards dinner.

At least I got to use the dress for a couple of weddings too.

Yes, I saw the reports/pic of where she stumbled and I immediately felt that the MSM focused on the stumble as a comparison to Clinton stumbling.  The pictures of her after/before the stumble are absolutely beautiful and they could have left the report and picture of the stumble out. 

I'm glad that the two are showing an open sign of affection towards one another (a rarity). One of my first thoughts on this is perhaps she's pregnant?  I know she is up in years, but it's still a possibility.

Also, the interview with Stormy is coming up, which will be interesting in itself, but I'm wondering how the Trumps are going to handle it and if they will make public statements.
