Chef's right. Pineapple on pizza is an offence to all. It's almost as bad as spaghetti on pizza.
Of interest @Sanguine? The chef has a mouth on him for sure.
I like pineapple on pizza. With ham. Happy to offend. The wife has been getting a chicken pizza with onions and green peppers that is ok.
Pineapple on a pizza isn't even in the same category of horrible as fish on a pizza.
Mmmmmm, anchovies are so good on pizza!
I made a French Onion pizza once, it was great! No tomato sauce, just a Beef Compote mixed in with some caramelized onions.Making a regular one today, I just got my grill cleaned up for the summer and assembled a stone Pizza Oven I just got.
Did you post a photo of it earlier? I'd like to see it. And, hear from you how well it works.Sorry, the pizza oven, not the pizza.
I think I posted a link to Amazon where one can be purchased. I had it, but hadn't unpacked and assembled it yet. I did so yesterday, so I can probably relate the experience. I've baked pizza on stones before, and they turn out great, but it required preheating an oven at 500 F for an hour and in the summer that'd make for an intolerable kitchen. Hence, an "oven" than can be operated on the grill.
There will be a delay for a few days. I decided to get a metal pizza peel first. I have a wooden one, but I can see how a metal one would be better for this. Got one on the way from Amazon.
I was looking the situation over here and have decided to make me a wooden peel. Because I am a cheep buzzard. And I can. I was also looking at the Charbroil Infrared Bistro kettle gas grill. Wondering if I can use it like a pizza oven? Hmmm...I make pepperoni pizza for the grandson.
Pffffft. He's British. Since when are the British considered experts on good food??
I'm planning on making cotton candy for a gathering that might include my grandson. I dunno.
