What does that mean, the cloud down?  Does it mean I can't buy right now?  I shall go into everlasting depression if that happens.

A huge amount of websites will also be down because they use S3 for storage.

Just went to Amazon.  Looks fine.  Put "clocks" in search just to check for anything, clicked on a clock and put it in cart and there it is.  Now, I have deleted the clock and that worked.  I don't see anything wrong.

Yep. Mostly seems to be hitting AWS hosted websites from Wix and a few other services. I have several personal and business sites that are all down now. If anyone asks, this isn't the Amazon.com store but Amazon Web Services hosting. I understand IMDB and Instagram are down in parts of the country right now.

I'd be surprised if this didn't affect Amazon itself though. They're a big believer in "eating your own dogfood".

Appears to be focused on the US-EAST-1 S3 servers.  Some of our enterprise services are taking a hit right now.  Some unavailable some slow.  On the personal side, Amazon order histories are unavailable.
