Malia Obama joined a protest against the Dakota Access Pipeline on Monday.

Looks like the Obamas aren’t done with politics.

The 18-year-old daughter of recent President Obama was praised by fellow protester, Shailene Woodley, who also attended the event at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.

“It was amazing to see Malia,” the actress told Democracy Now.

Is she in for a rude surprise when they arrest her.

Is the secret service still tagging along with her?  If so, will they follow her to jail?

Seems there are a few out-of-bounds events that they should not have to follow her into if she takes the step into those areas.

Doesn't take a lot of courage to protest among the rich and famous in Park City.

But then the Obama name has never been associated with courage to begin with.

I'd have been more impressed had she actually gone to North Dakota to protest.

I've said before that I'm concerned about how these girls will turn out as adults.  I don't know that there is a whole lot of demand for professional protesters or community organizers, and if there are, I doubt those jobs pay much, if at all.  Why else did Obama enter politics?   He needed to fleece taxpayers to support his lavish lifestyle.  Being a community organizer didn't cut it.

Instead of spending her time protesting, Malia should be learning skills for a useful career. She should strive to make something of herself.  What better example to the downtrodden her parents claim to care about?  But no.  Her parents are teaching her that she is entitled.  Someday she may very well have to work for a living.  What will she do then if she has to fend for herself with no marketable skills?

To my mind, the parents are child abusers.  Ok, they aren't physical abusers, but teaching your kids to be entitled and irresponsible  is  just as bad, if not worse.

I just hope dear Malia didn't have to miss out on a latte or anything really important like that.

That's OK. Her privileged background got her into Harvard, which alone assures her even greater privilege toward unqualified jobs for the rest of her life even if she drops out.

Excuse my dullness, but isn't Utah not in South Dakota? Seems like an odd location for a protest.

BTW, how high was Malia at the event?

Nothing to do with SD or any place she's ever lived.

Pretty fashionable to join a protest at Sundance, when the -real- protest area is out in the North Dakota cold.

Ya headin' there next, Malia...?
