A 19-year-old man who shot himself in the penis after allegedly holding up a South Side hotdog stand Tuesday won’t be going home when he’s released from the hospital.
Terrion Pouncy remained at Christ Hospital recovering from his injuries on Thursday, missing a bond hearing at the Leighton Criminal Courthouse on two counts of armed robbery.

Punks and Thugs with guns shoot themselves and each other all the time. The military requires extensive weapons handling and weapons safety training to prevent this kind of thing. You give a gun to a 19 year old, untrained idiot, and it is almost a certainty that he will wind up injuring or possibly killing himself or someone he knows, by accident. Happens all the time, like in that movie Pulp Fiction. That was a good example.
And that stupid holding the pistol sideways thing doesn't work, except in the movies. Not only is it going to screw up your aim, when the hot casing ejects it is going to hit you right in face, and that's not fun. Oh well. Let um go. They are more dangerous to themselves and their fellow gang members than they are to anyone else.
