Sanity Returning To music?
« on: January 12, 2017, 06:47:03 pm »
Maybe I've been living under a rock, as far as being up to date when it comes to new artists (or fairly new artists) and their music?

I was sent this video and .. My "Toe Tapping" is in overdrive on this!

There's good music being made now, but for some reason only its hip hop, faux country, and a Taylor Swift type of pop that get all the airplay.

Maybe I just don't know how, but its hard for me to access anything different.

This current crop of bad rock with a fiddle, tractor riding rap singing shitsters singing what they call county music today.... has to stop.  But it won't cuz all the starbucks latte swilling manbun wearing hipster thinks Jason Aldouche, Luke Bryan and Florida Georgia Line bands are Country.  Give me a break.

I think the last country show we went to was Vince Gill and Kathy Mattea. And some noob--Alison Krause.

I have to listen all day at work to the type of faux country you describe. A fiddle lick or a line about getting drunk, and these clowns think they've created a country song.  **nononono*

Amen. If I hear one more bar pickup song with rap carp in it. I just might have to shoot my radio.

Last week hubby and I were out running errands.  When we got in the car after one stop, Hannity was on the radio playing a FGL song.  It was awful, and he kept going on and on about what a great song it was and how FGL was getting better and better all the time.  We were both yelling at the radio and I changed the station.  Hannity is such a joke.

On those occasions when I'm the only one working (it's a two-person office), I've tried tuning the radio to a classic rock station. Unfortunately, "FROGGY" faux country seems to be the only station the radio receives.  **nononono*

FGL is country for Yankees.

Ah, the infamous Froggy, with the fake DJ pun names.

"This is Jeremiah Bullfrog at the mike. I'm outta here, but first, here's some Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert and Kelsea Ballerini. Annie Croakley is next; she has tickets to the FGL concert next week, be ready to dial into the Hopline to win, 555-FROG! This is Froggy 98.6, where the music is just right!"

Ugh, and that's exactly what I have to listen at work. It really is that bad on the aforementioned "FROGGY" radio.
