From a practical...non ocd stance... B or C.   It distributes the egg weight evenly in the carton so if you pick it up at one end the eggs don't all fall to the floor.

True.  But if you use option D and place the carton on the shelf with the egg-side to the front, then you'd pick it up where the weight is the heaviest and still won't spill them.

Edited to add: ... which is why I chose Option B.  It works no matter how you pick up the carton.

A family friend has been giving us free range straight from the farm eggs..

Wow the taste difference is incredible as in so much better.  Hard to go back to store bought eggs.

Clearly "other."  One egg should be placed in each corner.  It's symmetrical, and if you place them any other way, the corners feel too "light."

This post interrupted me checking to see if the door is locked.  I only made it to the thirtieth attempt.  I will now resume checking.

Due to frailty and quality of styroform these days, obviously A.  Provides proper weight distribution along carton surface area.  Thus reducing the probability of carton collapsing and dropping (breaking) the eggs.

B is acceptable, if you have the habit of grabbing the carton on the middle.  I'd guess most don't

And yes, I am OCD enough to have thought this through in the past.

I start at one end of the carton and take them out until I reach the other end, to lazy to move them around, for me OCD takes a back seat to my natural sloth..

D.  The question says you have 4 eggs left, which implies you've already used 8, and an OCD person would use eggs the correct way - start at one end of the carton and work toward the other end.  You wouldnt just pull them out Willy-nilly from the carton.

It was cold here this Morn.  only 52 degree's

My wife and I always go use them from both ends to keep the load in the middle balanced. It's not really OCD it's just habit.

I actually knew that - My general use cackle-berries are free range and fresh, but I actually buy eggs to boil, because they peel better... and that dash of vinegar thing actually works to keep em from cracking in the boil too.

I eat a lot of pickles, so I always have a bunch of pickle juice around... Pickled eggs are awesome.

Other people use a ham bone for boiled dinner but I don't screw around. I use the whole damn ham.

You and me, both.  I buy them in the 5-dozen packages and have trouble keeping them long enough to make them easy to peel for deviled eggs.

I am by myself, but I easy go through 3 dozen a week... A dozen to boil (and pickle if I can), 2 eggs every morning (makes for 14 more), and the rest go away in cooking .... Gotta use an egg wash to get flour on whatever I'm throwing in the oil, if you know what I mean...

Challah bread!  I haven't had that in quite a while, but I love it.  At a job I used to have, a friend and I used to buy a loaf of that stuff and eat it during the afternoon, when we got hungry.
