Staying the Course on Critical Defense Programs

A new presidential administration always ushers in changes to agency programs and priorities—the Department of Defense (DoD) is no exception. While it remains to be seen who will lead DoD starting in January, it is important that the next leader at the Pentagon stay the course on critical defense programs and makes improvements in programs and processes where deficiencies exist.

In October of this year, one of those critical defense programs, the Global Positioning System Next Generation Operational Control System (GPS OCX), reached an important milestone and received a vote of confidence when Under Secretary of Defense, Technology and Logistics, Mr. Frank Kendall, announced the program’s continuation.
