People need to wake up and realize that in some of those states Trump didn't even win a majority. In Texas, where he did get a majority, he secured 52.6% of the vote.

52.6% people! Does that look like a state that is SOLIDLY conservative? Where the GOP nominee wins a majority by a mere 2.6% of the vote? And we talk all the time about Texas being THE conservative bastion.

Wake up. This election was not a landslide nor a mandate. It was a squeeker. If we don't treat it as such, we'll continue to see our margins in winning states decrease and the dem margins in states like CA (Hillary got 62.1%).

It isn't a question of Texans, or even Texas Republicans being Conservative.

Just because it has an 'R' after it, doesn't make it conservative, it just makes it Republican. Enough Republicans showed up to get him over the top there.
