Timing is suspect on all of these IMO but how can you say it didn't occur when Trump himself, with his own words, bragged about doing this sort of thing?

Well, yeah... she's a porn star; websites are their bread and butter.  It's no surprise that she'd use the notoriety to make a few more bucks showing people what Trump grabbed hold of.  Just because Trump groped her doesn't change what she does for money.

None of which alters the fact that Trump's response is a) unbelievably idiotic, b) precisely what you'd expect from him, and c) seems to be an admission that he did it (but hey, she's a porn star, so who cares, right?).

Calls for that seem to have waned.   Probably because of summer vacations caused people to prioritize their summer and fall schedules.

@driftdiver

Yeah, you're right. Instead of fixing the country, we should instead support a total liberal jackass as the GOP nominee for president.

My bad.

It really is a he said/she said

Who are you going to believe.

A woman who claims Trump grabbed her by the *****.
Or Trump who bragged he likes to grab women by the ***** (and can get away with it because he is a celebrity).

Well, yeah.... I don't think any of that is actually going to happen.  While I believe Hillary Clinton will be a terrible president, I seriously doubt she has the political capital to make any of that actually work -- so long as all of us who oppose her, spend our time opposing her, rather than each other.

Further, I think the mid-term political backlash against Hillary Clinton will be far worse than it was against Bill Clinton or Barack Obama, both of whom are perceived to be far more attractive human beings than she is.

Next, unfortunately, Obama's carnivorous chickens are going to come home to roost on her watch, and she'll be so busy trying (and failing) to deal with them that she'll have no time for anything else.

Finally, I think her ill health is going to become a real issue once she has to start dealing with the pressures of the presidency.  President Kaine is a real possibility.

I wonder how many of those billionaires who have invested so much in her agree with you.  The ones like Soros who want America brought into a global govt.  A govt which is not democratic and does not guarantee rights.   A govt which is totalitarian to ensure their fortunes and crony capitalism remain intact.

We will have a shit ball for president.  One is worse then the other.   Neither fixes the problem but one will do less damage.

Instead of bitching about Trump why arent you advocating for the convention?   Did your vacation plans interfere?

My daughter wouldn't be a porn 'actress' nor would she wait 20 years to make a claim if she were assaulted.

By the way, groping someone isn't an 'advance', its sexual assault.   An advance is "hey you wanna go out for dinner", or "thats a beautiful dress" or any number of other things which happen daily.
What difference does it make what she does for a living? If she isn't doing it with him, she has a right not to be molested, whether she's a porn actress or Mother Teresa.

@driftdiver

Wrong. My response was a DIRECT reaction to YOUR response. You trivialized the notion of a Convention of the States with a snarky comment about people's schedules, so I threw snark right back at you.

Then, you call MY response "insults and flaming" after YOU provided the snark FIRST.

MOREOVER, you double-down on your snark by asking why I am not advocating for a Convention of States (after I *just* did, and have been for a long time) and throw out the "vacation plans" snark AGAIN.

You are now exposed as a hypocrite who simply wishes to rabble-rouse for Trump, hoping that will somehow gain him votes. Your response is a simple fraud, as is most of what Trumpettes espouse.

As a reminder, some of Bill Clinton's accusers waited over 20 years to come forward. Juanita Broaddrick for example, said she was raped by Clinton in the early 70s and didn't come forward until 1999, and we automatically believed her.

How about the Bill Cosby accusers who came forward after 20-30 years?

Jeffery Epstein's accusers?

Marty Weiss (Nickelodeon producer and pedophile)?

Tommy Lowery (Hollywood talent manager and pedophile)?

At that, it isn't unusual at all for victims of assault to come forward, especially if they feel comfortable because others are coming forward (see the Cosby case or Bill Clinton).

Do we know yet if this one is telling the truth?

If it was just Gloria Allred bringing her forward, I would doubt it... But if we didn't have the accused bragging he liked to do what she accused him of.. and now, instead of a denial, implying she deserved it... that kind of leans towards believing the victim over the accused.

Why did we automatically believe all the other accusers, but don't believe Trump's accusers?

Winners write the rules.

Losers sit back and continue to whine and cry.   We know what you do.
Let me put it this way. If enough of you "winners" voting for LOSERS would vote for someone of decent character and with a less Leftist bent, we'd win!

I'm a "slow learne"r I guess.   Because I keep giving you chances to belittle me and insult me.  This time I use the ignore button

So much for mutual respect, right?

What an odd response from someone who apparently doesn't think it's insulting to call someone a liar out of the blue.

Almost bizarre actually.

I guess your definition of decency and respect are different from what most of us think.  I don't think it's respectful to publicly accuse someone falsely, but I guess we're all different and some of you do....

At any rate, I haven't belittled you, your protestations notwithstanding, and I'm glad for your sake that you've put me on ignore so you don't get hurt any more than you are now.

But I still strongly disagree with your accusation that non Trump voters are cheerful about the country's demise.

We argued and debated to keep Trump from winning the primary so that the whole country wouldn't have to be embarrassed by having arguably two of the vilest candidates in US history running against each other.

We sounded the warning because we love this country so dearly, but we were ignored, and the worst of all possible futures is before us, thanks to Donald Trump, and the media and loyalists who forced him on us against our wills and against the best interest of the country.

Now we will continue to do what our consciences dictate, and refuse to accept the blame for setting the country on fire, when we were there trying to get rid of the arsonist, Donald Trump.

Good luck, @driftdiver .  I hope you get over your hurt soon.
Character still matters.  It always matters.

I wear a mask as an exercise in liberty and love for others.  To see it as an infringement of liberty is to entirely miss the point.  Be kind.

You sit in a country where the government can take your land if you fill in a mud hole, where the type of light bulb you use is set by law, where your new toilet capacity is codified, where myriad regulations blanket everything you do, and worry about totalitarianism. While you weren't looking, the NSA was recording your stuff sans warrant and you were video recorded on a host of cameras if you weren't out in the boonies. If you were in a major urban area with toll bridges, your passage through the checkpoints was recorded, every non-cash purchase you made is on a computer and accessible. Totalitarianism is already here, they just have to plug a few things in.

You left out the fact that they mandate CFLs and now want to codify *occupancy sensors* in all rooms into law.

How brilliant is this? CFLs degrade rapidly when switched on and off a lot. So, let's mandate their use, THEN create another reg that requires they be switched on and off far more often than usual so they don't last but a tenth as long and create copious toxic waste!

(Don't worry - those busy-bodies will create a law/reg for that toxic waste, too!)

God, I hate government.

There is not way that I believe they are all lying.  And people are expected to take Trump at his word because there is not time to see these allegations worked out in court.  Trump is ordered to appear in December on the Child rape charge against him.

Do you have a better alternative?   Or do you just want to cheer the burning down of our country?

Oh no.  Trumpists don't get to make that claim.

Trump supporters could have voted for the candidate *BEST* able to beat Hillary.  But they picked the worst.

They have no right to ask *ANYONE* to fix their little problem and cover for their stupidity.

The Trump Files: Donald and Melania's Creepy, Sex-Filled Interview With Howard Stern

If you think Donald Trump is a headache for GOP chairman Reince Priebus, who frequently has to clean up after Trump's inflammatory comments, just imagine what former Reform Party chairman Russ Verney had to go through. Verney led the party during the 2000 election, when Donald Trump briefly jumped into the race for the Reform nomination for president. But that didn't stop Candidate Trump from going on Howard Stern's radio show and putting his then-girlfriend and now-wife Melania on air with the host for a bizarre, creepy, and totally misogynistic interview about life and sex with Trump.

When Trump called in to Stern's show on November 9, 1999, the conversation turned to Melania ("a potential first lady," Trump said) and her looks. "Let me talk to that broad in your bed," Stern demanded. So Trump summoned Melania, who was apparently scantily clad and conveniently sitting nearby, to come to the phone. With Stern oozing his creepiest charm, things rapidly got weird.

After demanding that Melania "put on your hottest outfit" for a Stern-Trump night on the town, Stern asked Melania what she was wearing right then. "Uh, not much," she replied.

Stern pressed on: "Are you naked? Are you nude?" Melania laughed. "Almost," she said.

"Ahhh, I've got my pants off already," Stern groaned.

Dropping his voice, Stern asked about how often Melania and Trump had sex and how good it was. "We have a great, great time," she said, claiming that she and Donald did the deed "even more" than daily. "I can tell you need love," Stern told her. Other topics of the interview included whether Melania stole cash from Trump's wallet, what she wore to the beach, and her "very nice chest for a model."

Trump apparently had no problems with Stern's racy questioning of his then girlfriend. "Oh man, she's naked there, isn't she?" Stern asked when Trump got back on the phone. "She is actually naked," Trump said. "It's a thing of beauty."

In a version of the interview clipped by BuzzFeed News, Stern begged Trump to have sex with Melania on air to boost his ratings. "Wouldn't that be nice?" Trump replied. Someone in Stern's studio then launched into a crude impression of Melania having sex with Trump. "Please, Donald, don't put it there!" he cried in a fake accent as Stern's crew—and Trump—collapsed into laughter. The New York Post also reported that, during the interview, Trump told Stern he frequently "mentally" felt up Melania in public.

But the sex- and harassment-filled radio appearance didn't exactly strike Trump as a bad move. "Is this your average interview, Robin, for a presidential candidate?" he proudly asked Stern's co-host before weighing on the role of hotness in the Monica Lewinsky scandal. "There are those that say that if President Clinton was caught with a supermodel, he would have been everyone's hero. Now, of course, I would never say a thing like that, but there are those that say that."

"President Trump will be a reality," Stern said as Trump signed off. "Thank you, Mr. President."

Verney, the Reform Party chairman, was nonplussed by the sexually charged Stern interview. "The very first principle of the Reform Party is to set the highest ethical standards for the White House and Congress," he told the Post, "not the most base, crass attempt to appeal to the lowest common denominator. Whatever their private life is, it should be exactly that—their private life."
