@Applewood

She is much better. I'm adding one food at a time to her diet to see if her tummy grinding is caused by a food allergy. Today she had tiny pieces of white meat turkey along with her regular dry food - Purina Overweight Management - and canned Enteric diet. She appreciated that! No treats allowed yet. I give her a couple of pieces of dry food when I give Hank a Greenie. She was confused about the lack of treats at first, but has accepted it. I'm more upset about the lack of treats than she is.

No vomiting since she came home Thursday. I am hopeful.

She has recovered from the vomiting, but today she started drinking a lot of water and had two accidents in the house which never happens. The ultrasound showed "puffy" adrenals, which could indicate Cushing's but I blew right past that because I was worried she had cancer. She is happy and affectionate. I'm closely observing her. My decision will be all about her quality of life.

O.K.   So what is going on in this video? I'm slow I guess.

That being said...I would take the puppy at the top of the thread  and the kitties in the "cat tree" in a heartbeat. :laugh:

But not today...I'm retiring in Oct and will get another rescue...or adopt whatever wanders up in my yard.

(This thread makes me want to go out and get young'uns. I can't read it too often. It makes me long for puppy breath!)

I just found out it's time for me to retire.  September 21, and I am done, after 34 years, 25 in R&D.  All done!

Congratulations to all upcoming retirees from this retiree. 

My paternal grandfather once said that retirement was the best thing to happen to a working man.  I would add "and woman," but he was right.  He was actually the first in his family to retire on a pension. Previous generations in his family worked till they died. 

Just be sure to have some things with which to occupy yourself -- volunteering, travel, hobbies, puttering around the house, something.
 My maternal grandfather did nothing all day but sit and watch tv.  In a few years, body and mind turned into mush and he was gone in 7 years.  Don't be like him.
