And speaking of demeanor.....my demeanor has changed as much as theirs....if you're going back years here.

I sincerely hope they're big enough to apologize on their POV on President Trump....for if he does screw things up worse, I certainly will.

IF Trump somehow does manage to get elected and IF he does actually build a wall, curtail Muslim refugees, honor the 2nd amendment and appoint a conservative justice, I will admit I was wrong.  These are the issues that Trump has made claims to.  Not only will I admit I was wrong but I will apologize.  I don't see that happening...I see Trump doing just the opposite.

Peace.

You won't be! I will assure you of that!   If 50 million people do a stupid thing it is STILL a stupid thing!

@Bigun

100% correct.

It seems that you naturally ignore quite a lot of things!  :thud:

And if...by the end of Trump's 1st term, you see ISIS suing for peace through the UN...and a raging economic boom not seen since 1983...will you admit you were wrong and stop "cursing his supporters"?

I sincerely hope you DO vote for him this November, @skeeter    :laugh:

Quite alot of what we warned you about Trump has already come true. Will you admit you were at least partially wrong to support him in the primaries?

@DCPatriot @CatherineofAragon

Nor do I! It's the foolish idea that Trump is the solution that I take exception to!  Especially in light of the fact that Trump is exactly the candidate that the miscreants already mentioned wanted and got!

I totally understand your tenacity, @Bigun

You've been working on the ground for many years getting Republican Conservatives elected, and you should be applauded.

Trump didn't steal the Nomination.   He won fair and square and beat back the Establishment in doing so.

As a supporter, if that makes me a miscreant of sorts....   :shrug:

The horrific accident is running on the republican ticket.

I'll probably vote for the buffoon but I'll be cursing his supporters for foisting the jerk on us and blowing the best opportunity conservatives will probably ever have to get one of their own elected the entire time.

There just aren't enough conservatives anymore.

This election proved a few things:  Americans no longer believe in the American system or in themselves.  They're looking for a superhero.  They reject political leaders, which I think is a mistake.  You don't reject mechanics because a mechanic ripped you off.  You don't take your car to a carpenter to get fixed.

You look for a better mechanic.  But WE...chose to look for people who had no IDEA about politics.  And I don't mean "winning elections" - I mean, serious political THOUGHT.  Political philosophy and guiding principles.

Three of those up there, had none of those:  Fiorina, Carson and Trump.  Meantime, Reagan's legitimate ideological heir, was rejected by too many - because he's "another politician."  So we now instead have a man with NO guiding principles and NO idea even of what the office entails.

He's lacking something else, too - which gives him a lot in common with lifer politicians.  HE LACKS MORALITY.  His slanders, thrown freely, show that.  His life story, once you get past the glamorous narrative, shows someone who's made a living running interference between legitimate builders and Tammany Hall.  A BAGMAN.

So this guy will NOT solve the problems and will create many more.

What America craves, whether they realize it or not, is MORALITY IN PUBLIC LIFE.  What they've chosen is someone who's posing as Superman.  What they are getting is a FRAUD.

NONE of this would have happened had we just more informed conservative voters.

I for one, would be delighted to be wrong about Trump.  The only way to find out is elect him and hope for the best.

...and I don't like voting with nothing more than my hopes to go on.

Quite alot of what we warned you about Trump has already come true. Will you admit you were at least partially wrong to support him in the primaries?

My first choice was Walker....then Perry.   Nobody else among the field even got my attention.

When Trump declared?   That was it for me!!

I cringed more than TWICE during the primaries.  But I saw and even better, UNDERSTOOD his appeal to the American middle class voter who has suffered greatly under the Kenyan.

IOW....I kept my eye on the donut and not the hole.

A handful of dead-enders trying desperately to seem relevant, waving their arms as if anyone cares how they'll vote on November 8. Look at me look at me, I'm important. NeverTrump is what was.

They are a political glitch, a psychological tic, a spasm of self importance -- but in the end meaningless as the Trump Train rolls on by, gathering steam, and astonishing the political pundit world.

Feel the same way about the GOP, @Bigun   So we do have something in common here.

I merely view Trump as a vehicle/tool to turn this MF around.  To demonstrate to Millennials and Generation X-ers how Capitalism is our friend and not the enemy.

How can the tool the establishment went to the mat to give us be the answer D.C.? The logic escapes me!

@CatherineofAragon

Sarah Palin is widely credited with giving Ted Cruz the boost he needed to break through in his Senate primary race in 2012.

Without her support Cruz would be a political asterisk.

It is illuminating to see how little respect she engenders among his rabid supporters.

@Longmire

Oh, I admit straight-out that I have no respect for Palin.  Is that not allowed? She's become a pitiful joke.  Her speeches, if you can call them that, are incomprehensible, incoherent word-salad messes screeched out in her rusty nail voice.

She's hardly the kingmaker her fans portray.  Cruz's Constitutional conservatism won him the Senate seat, and that's the bottom line.

Talking to yourself again, and posting a photo of Trump adding his Mexican amnesty star to the 50 states already on the flag.  What a great post, @aligncare!

I didn't see it that way.

What I saw was the GOPe hoisted on their own petard.   What I saw were left-handed endorsements with built-in qualifiers....from a bunch of blackmailed traitors who were sent to Washington to stop The Kenyan.

What I saw was a brilliant strategy played out in reality by a globally recognized celebrity with a pedigree of kindness toward minorities and a fan of the "Common Man".

Really?  I worked on the Cruz campaign and I was completely unaware of that.

You must have slept through his victory speech @Sanguine, why don't you go back and review to it?

Keep your  :dx1: open for the words 'first and foremost I want to thank Sarah Palin'.

Or maybe Cruz was just lying to Sarah PAC when he wrote the following...

“We started out as underdogs in a long, competitive primary. But despite the odds being stacked against us, Governor Palin and SarahPAC showed daring leadership by endorsing my campaign. The Governor’s vision and the support of patriots like you helped transform my long-shot candidacy into victory on election night.”

Either way, its no surprise that his fanatics have selective memories when it comes to St. Teddy of Calgary.  :laugh:

I want to sincerely thank you for taking time to give a thoughtful replay, @CatherineofAragon

I'm not "condemning" your moral stance.  I applaud it.

What I condemn is the condescension in here daily toward Trump supporters.  What?  Just because we see things differently?

Personally, I can't change.   I've been self-employed and self-reliant my entire life.  I always view problem solving the same exact way Donald Trump does.   As a businessman trying to succeed.

@DCPatriot

Thank you, DC.  I appreciate that.

There's a lot of condescension going both ways and we're all taking part in it.  For my part, of course I know I'm no better than a Trump voter...I'm no better than anyone.  I just truly, for the life of me, don't get a lot of what goes into supporting him.

My father-in-law is a businessman and a problem solver, too.  He's behind Trump probably as strongly as you are.  He isn't a billionaire, but he's never had any bankruptcies and in fact his business has grown every year since he began it.  I told him he'd be a better candidate than Trump....hell, either of you would, most likely.   ^-^

Awww, just shut up!  **nononono*

Speaks to your character that you would tell someone who prayed for you and hoped your brief dalliance with a scary health threat should shut up when talking about mankind's nature to eschew things of God.

Oh well.

Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775
