I figure it won't take long before he decides the job of POTUS interferes with whatever he'd rather be doing, so he could step down and give us President Pence. That works for me.

The Presidency is high stress and we have seen it rapidly age each man in office. Trump may well decide it is too much and step down, although I do think his preference would be to pass the job on to one of his children instead of Pence. He may even think he has the power to do so with an executive order given his lack of knowledge of the workings of government.  :silly:

... and by 'rabid supporters' I mean peopel who angrily support him with such fierceness that they are moved to nasty vile remarks and actions

The same has happened in this forum.  There are Trump supporters in here who were very friendly and likeable and now are also moved to nasty vile remarks and actions.  You are correct ... Trump has brought out the worst in this nation all the while claiming to make America Great Again.   :shrug:
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

Or that the election is only 108 days away, yet instead of going after Hillary Clinton, Trump supporters here are attacking Heidi Cruz.

The argument is ridiculous.  Trump has many investments overseas.  He has ties to Soros.  Hr has ties to the middle east.  He has ties to the Clintonstate.  It doesn't get any more globalist than Trump.

@TomSea  @driftdiver

He even declares bankruptcies in foreign countries after robbing them blind.

Of course, as old, fat and crazy as the Donald is, chances of him stroking out are high, and then we would have Pence.  So things could work out in the end. :whistle:

I actually hope the Donald wins.  It'll be a twofer of fun for me.  First, the rats cry for a while that Hillary will always be a bridesmaid and never the bride.  It's always a good thing to watch rats cry.  Then by the time they realize that it's all good and that the Donald is one of them, those of the tRump supporters who still have 2 brain cells left, will begin to realize they've been had.  That's what I'm going to truly enjoy.  It'll be like Christmas.  I see many more bannings at FR in the future.  The infighting will be delightful.

I just will not be a party to electing either someone I consider to be nuts, tRump or a criminal, Hillary.

@beandog

I hadn't even thought of any of that.

I want to thank you for giving me something that cheers me up.

That would be a safe bet to make. The ignorant fool actually thinks the job of VP is to be the presidents assistant.

Melania won't get the East Week Wing, that's where he'll keep the concubines.

And I am guessing they will all be "as good as new" when he leaves office. All flash,no substance.

BTW,do you have any idea if the rumor I am starting about "The Game of Thrones" having a new character next season named "Donald Little Hands" is true?

Trump doesn't want Arabs here unless they are his rich friends.  An Arab rents an entire floor in Trump Tower.  It's okay for that Arab to be in the country but not other Arabs who do not give him money.

I think they feed their strongest rams to the pack leaving only the weak. So much easier to follow their master without resistance from within.

It is now.

Contributing to the thread drift….

Actually, if they got rid of all the sordid sex outside of necessary implication for the storyline (incest is the trigger for a lot of what sets everything off) - it could possibly be one of the most terrific medieval fantasy shows of all time right under Lord of the Rings.  There has probably never been a better depiction of how medieval life operated than this show, despite the fact it is set in a fictional world and the fantastic elements like dragons are of themselves seen as myth within the peoples of the story itself.

It's a pretty good tale of what people seeking power will do to attain it,   How noble castes and houses set themselves up as unbreakable corrupt oligarchies using the serfs as canon fodder for their own power.  It's also a great illustration of how entire peoples being so wrapped up in themselves ignore the signs of impending doom for absolutely everyone.   As the show has gone on, it's turned into a revelation how underdogs can turn the established order upside down and potentially make the world a better place.

What has made it so addictive is the fact that for a fantasy, no character is safe from being killed off - not even the most popular heroes of the show.  For a lot of folks it's like placing bets on who makes it through a season alive and who does not.

The over the top sex is completely unnecessary to tell the story IMO, but it's HBO and that means to automatically throw in full frontal nudity, pornographic sex acts and close ups of male genetalia in order to put their stamp of approval on it.

I like the story and the characters - I do not like the gratuitous sex and think it cheapens the whole thing.

Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

The overall story seems cool, but I hear the books have a rape on average every 17 pages. lol.

China has a new show planned for 62 episodes called Ice Fantasy that looks interesting. A lot of special effects in the trailer. It sort of like Ice Benders VS Fire Benders (almost exactly like that, as a matter of fact). I saw someone call it "Lord of the Rings: China Edition" (Lord of the Mings??)

Gratuitous homosexual acts have wrecked shows for me as well. Some are entirely unnecessary to the story line, but once that gets thrown in, the show stops in my house. Ick. Some things I will not bring into my living room.
