The issue here is not that Melania plagiarized Moochelle's speech.  The issue is that the Trump campaign used the same speech writer as the Obama campaign and then lied about Melania writing her own speech.

The Trump campaign is too stupid to use anti-plagiarizing software, so Trump's additions got past vetting, and you have what you have now.

Nobody is being fired over this episode because Trump would have to fire himself.

It would be "failing away" if the media wasnt all over it. And not just national news, but even the local news way up here in the Pacific NW was discussing not her great speech, but how it was stolen from  Mrs. Obama.  A little nothing story like Dan Quayle misspelling potato in the hands of the media can be devistating. Actually no its not, since nothing Obama did was original work Even Nancy Regan used such First Lady Stock phrases. But, it does not matter because it never was an issue but for the left to distract from what was said about Hillary at the convention.

Flaw in your rant is Obama was not the author of those stock First lady phrases. Even Nancy Regan and others used them. Now besides it being a total non issue that will in no way harm the Trumps. It was a brilliant strategic move to get the left wing showing Mrs. Trump's speech creating interest on the left to look at the whole speech which contained lots of negatives about Hilary presented in a such a way it was not offensive to most democrat viewers.
